DIVISION OF THE BAVARIAN ARMY
The 3rd Royal Bavarian Division was a unit of the Royal Bavarian Army which served alongside the Prussian Army as part of the Imperial German Army.From the late 1800s, the Prussian Army was effectively the German Army, as during the period of German unification (1866-1871) the states of the German Empire entered into conventions with Prussia regarding their armies.

The 3rd Assault Division () was a Yugoslav Partisan division formed in Glamočko polje on 9 November 1942. Upon its formation it had around 3,200 soldiers from three brigades: 5th Proletarian Brigade, 10th Herzegovina Brigade and 1st Dalmatia Brigade.
